Sentient:
I understand exactly how you feel about the G. I felt the same way too. In fact, my little Nissan which does not go as fast, is more predicatble than my G.
This is what I have discovered about the G, especially the ones with RAS and sports tunes suspension, like mine. It is a lot easier to loose the G at slow speeds in tight corners than at higher speeds on tighter corners.
I once lost my G after making a turn at about 25 miles per hour. With good steering work, the G-35 corrected itself. Yes, and yes, if you are calm and cmported, with a little steerring input, with no car coming behind you, the G-35 Coupe has the ability to correct itself. Most cars would have sommersaulted under similar conditions. When i recovered it, I continued to flog the hell out of the car. When I got home, I kissed the car and thanked Nissan for such a fantastic ride. it was an experience of a life time. of course, this was when I first bought the car. Remember, my car is my toy.
After that day, all my inhibitions about the way the car handles, was completely gone. the G-35 Coupe requires respect. If you can respect it, it will respect you.
The Re0050A tires does help. And I am approaching 20K + on my first set of RE0050 Tires, with the rear tires wearinig faster than the front. Rear might make it to 22k and front might actually make it to 25K. Remember, this is a 2007 G-35 Coupe.
So long as the road is dry, I look forard to entering corners and bends at high speeds. It is usually the highlight of my driving experience each day.
Even my clutch, the way it feels, and with the way I flog the car, It should make it to 40K or upt o when I buy a supercharger/twin turbo, which ever comes first, before I replace it.
