im afraid its not going to work. If u look at the exhaust ports for the SOHC they are paired up and the pair are about about 3-4 inches from one another. So im not sure it would work.

here is a ghetto "pic" of the SOHC layout.

00--00

the zeoros are the ports. The ports on the SR and KA24DE are layed out like this

0 0 0 0

Better off just making it from scratch, because the flange won't work, the pipes won't work, and let's see.... hey! That's all there is to a manifold.

Besides, you have a cool ride. Why go ghetto?

You can get a used GOOD ka mani for a little more $.

Maybe he just wants to be the first to make it. Watch we are going to see stock SOHC mani cut and stainless stell JB weld on to it with ducttape. Was thinking if you bought an SS Mani could you dip in metal to make the walls thicker?Like chrome dipping but mainly that's for show.

It's not worth all the hassle, just buy a JGS and be done with it. Time is better spent on other places of the vehicle.

I suppose you could do it..., but why? Is the "?" everyone has for you. It's like needing a knife so you go to the silverware drawer. You see a knife, but you choose a fork- and then proclaim that you are going to "make it work." It doesn't make any sense. I mean yeahm there are a lot of things that are possible. You could also stick needles in your eyes. The question remains why you would want to. I don't think that you should read peoples responses to you like they don't "like" you, more that everyone is seriously puzzled...

I'm sure I could manage to get a turbo to spool with a ham sandwich and some duct tape, but why would I want to?

Bro...take a deep breath and calm thyself...

I think what they are tyring to tell you is that yes you could do it...yes it can be done...but with the energy spent, materials used, and effort put into this, it would be easier to just use something that is alittle more....ummmm...practical.

Yes it can be done...but is it worth the hasstle to you?

Credibility aside, what I think you should do is cut off the center pipes of the SR manifold and then install a brand new KA manifold. That'll work.

Aside from all of these soft handed people that pay for others to build their cars who are making fun of you, yes it will work, yes it's been done, yes it is easy. Cut off old flange, heat the two inside tubes and bend out to match the flange you bought, tig or mig weld it, and then pat yourself on the back for making a manifold already made by my friend Branden with the same parts. It is definately worth the time. I wish i would have done the same before i hand made my log manifold, but oh well..........
