Anyone changed the drivebelt yet

How do I release the tension. Need to take it off so I cna do the alternator nd the belt at the same time.

n/m i figured it out. Stupid trim clips. Now i gotta go find some to reattach the fender liner.

Fairly straight forward. You have to take the inner fender out and jack it up high enough to lay under. then with a 14mm wrench put it on the bolt for the tensioner and just push rearwards and it loosens

Thats the coolest thing ever. lol

I had to change a belt in a old Tempo I bought for a newspaper route and it was terrible. Wish I was able to do this! haha

you change the drive belts @ 60k correct? i'll be due this year.

Um yeah sure. I did mine at 193k. Old one looked good still

I changed mine last year. It was squealing........ I had it done at the dealer.
