Starting to snow here on the East coast. So far, stock tires have been fine, although I do find myself driving slower around turns. Anyone have issues w/ the weather and opted for snow tires?

thx

For the amount of snow driving I plan on doing (which is minimal) the stocks are fine in the snow. Don't get me wrong, snow tires would do a world of good for the Altima. The stock ones get by when used in minimal snow driving.

If you get some good amount of snow then you really should upgrade your tires. the stock one arn't worth crap in snow.

I bought Michelin Alpins at discount tire for winter driving. I have only had them on for about 4 days but so far I like them. They are quieter than the stock Conti's and seem to handle better in the dry.I have to drive about 100 miles per day and we sometimes get black ice with our snow. Most every one else out here runs studded tires but I refuse. The studless have gotten be over Mt. Hood in a blizzard when there was no one else driving on the road.

Your info says you're in Orlando, FL. I think you'll be set with the stock tires there in the "winter."

What's the highest mountain in Florida?
