Anyone attempt and success in installing an alarm?

I want to get an alarm for my 240sx, but I'm cheap so I kinda want to do this myself. Has anyone done this successfully?

What kind of alarm do you suggest for a cheap price and well functional that I can install? Thanks a lot!

It's not hard, I've done it, my first alarm got me stumped for a while, my second and third, easy as cake. You really need a volt-meter though, essential for finding the wires you need to tap or splice.

I see. Thanks. I just paid 200 bucks to get a basic alarm install. Next time I will do this myself, the alarm cost only 70.00 labor is a lot!

Think I"m goign to go buy a system for mine.However after putting a fuse in a wire the other day my car wouldn't start a little red light and clicking was happening. Use to be python security system in it. So Now I'm going to hunt to see if I can get what I need to make it work. Been staring at the python sticker for 2yrs and just now realised it is still in the car. Goign to put a remote start on my manual when i get the cash.
