Anyone added Homelink?

If there is one thing I will miss is Homelink. I love having the garage door opener right there on the mirror.

Anyone thought of how to add that to the car?

that would be very nice....but i think it would be a little difficult. on cars with the factory homelink hava a transmitter in the bumper not to mention all the wiring. Not sure if they have aftermarket homelink systems. If anyone does accomplish this, I would be interested then.

Don't have to clip it. There's a handy wide strip of spandex on my car's visor that holds the remote almost completely out of sight. I have it button-side down, and just push the button through the cloth. Works well.

Admittedly, it still can get stolen. But since the spandex is the same color as the interior, it doesn't stand out much.

My dealer added a Homelink for us. It was through an aftermarket vendor. With installation, it was about $400, and it has the extras such as the built-in compass. I hate the garage door clicker. It rattles and makes the visor look junky.

That's what I'm talking about! I was looking on the Bay and saw a few mirrors from other Nissan vehicles. and they look to fit on a metal standoff (believe it's called a wedge mount). I'm pretty sure those wedge mounts are standard and it would just be a question of finding a mirror from another car that actually has the transmitter in the mirror itself.

Or just get that one storyr posted.
