Are you kidding me. That is the coolest thing I have seen for the iPhone so far. I am going to check the App store when I get home at lunch, to see if it avalible. The damn firewall at work won't let me access it. If it isn't too much I am getting it today!

You can buy it thru Apple for almost a month now. I don't know why Apple did not advertise it. I thought it was pretty cool. Less then $20.00. I believe. The stupidest part is I saw this on the net first in another language. So I started to search. Sure it has been released for a month now. WTF. Apple little ad maybe would help.

Ok. I downloaded it. Now to test it when I go for a drive here in about an hour.

And it was $12.99.

I'll report back after I get a chance to play w/ it.

Well I got to play with a little on my way to lunch and back. The G meter seems to work pretty good. I had a max Accl. of .73G.

And the time measurements look to be close. Traffic was to heavy to get any good data. I need to get the vech weight for it to calculate HP.

Over all not bad for a $13.00 investment.

you input the car data. weight drive train loss ect. then it used the iphones ablitly to rotate the screan( what ever makes it do that) and uses it as an acclerometer. just like a gtech. check out the site in the first post. it has some pretty good info.

It looks like a fun toy and a good gauge of possible performance, but I really doubt the iPod's accelerometer is capable of giving accurate G-force numbers.

Let's put it this way. If I had an iPhone (never happen), I'd buy the app because it would be fun to play with.

Sentient I think it is pretty accurate. They say it is in 0-60 MPH: +/- 0.08 sec* . I think that is damn good. Gtech is similar. Just cost you a lot more. If you have the phone this is a really cool thing. Especially for 13 bux.

I finally got to use it yesterday. Found a good streach of open road. I did one pull w/ it. And I took off from an idle w/ VDC off. Here are the numbers it gave me.

0-10 mph .96 sec0-20 1.920-30 2.800-40 4.310-50 5.520-60 6.830-70 9.040-80 10.810-90 13.29

60' 2.86 @27.8 mph330' [email protected]/8 mile [email protected]' [email protected]/4 mile [email protected]

Max acceleration G's .69Peak Hp 240

Mods to the car are, Nismo CAI and Blox 5/8 plenum spacer.

I have the car weight set at what the manufacture spec is. Need to redo it w/ my weight added.

Nice,

So I guess you are enjoying it. Let me know what you get after you change the weight setting. It should be interesting.
