i have plenty experance boosting my nissan's, thanks nico! but if you have every search through the honda forums you know how crazy hard finding reliable info is. anyway i have a 98 CR-V autotragic AWD w/ a b20, that in the kindest of words is "beyond doodoo". i have been playing with the notion for awhile now to boost it, nothing crazy its my DD, just 4-6psi to help it out. i have just about all the hardware, 380cc inj. cast iron manifold, b18b intake manifold, ect, and a CA18DET T25 turbo for instant spool. the hardest, biggest challange so far is finding info on automatic obd-2 ecu's or what ecu to use with a obd-1 converter harness. or if i could use my emange on it when i upgrade to nistune on my SR. i just can find any forsure info on automatic obd-1/2 ecu tuning, or if i could just put a mt ecu in place, no one knows if the ecu even connects to the transmission or if it has its own. i dunno, i think i've gone down some iq points searching all the honda forums. im gonna try and compare some wiring diagrams tonight, but im open to any fesable suggestions. like i said this is gonna be a low boost app, just enough to help it pull itself and my boat up the bridge.

The ECU/engine management should be separate from the transmission. What's your fear anyway? That somehow the auto transmission will see boost and not know what to do?

im not worried about the auto, it should be able to take 30-40 more hp, i was refering to the ecu and tcu, as some automakers integrate them. but i did find forsure info about them being seperate. im just trying to get some concrete info on obd-2 tunning or ecu swaping and tunning . but apparently honda does have auto specific ecu's that "talk" to the tcu, so any and all MT ecu's are outta the question. to use an auto obd-1 ecu the converter harness would have to have all the wiring added for the auto, if an auto ecu is even chipable, im still looking for this info. i also found out the current ecu can control the rearend by a coupler and a temp switch, so this is yet another bump to work around unless it would stay connected without signal from the ecu. megasquirt would be way too much over kill for this setup if it would even would work, remember 4-6psi outta prob the smallest t25 ever made. hondata and chrome, maybe, if i can find a compatable obd-1 ecu or if they made obd-2 versions, which they dont at least one for b-series. my old emanage was just a thought but might be my best bet if i HAVE to use the current obd-2 ecu. i've been using it on my SR build for 4yrs now and never had a problem with it, ive just reached the max it can do on a stock SR ecu. the respose that im getting from the honda forums is "convert to MT", this does me no good as to what ecu i can run or if an auto ecu is even chipable to begin with. im not going through all the trouble of converting it to MT just for this

well i called a couple tunning shops and they all told me my only option with obd-2 with an auto is a piggyback system, which of course most dont like tunning. soooooo........ ive deceided against boosting the cr-v, mainly because i went and talked to the local nissan dealership yesterday and test drove a juke and im im love. by income tax time i will be a proud owner of a awd juke.
all i can say about it is if you can look past the corner lights on the hood, its an awsome buy. it'll flatout smoke my 99 max, and is about 2/3 of my 240 in its current state. i cant wait.

I'm fully expecting a NISMO edition Juke, that's lowered w/suspension mods, wheels, intake, and exhaust. When that comes out, I'm buying one.
