Anybody venturing out on "Amateur Night"
It is funny, everything is always crowded, but everybody I talk to says that they are staying home.
Hubby and I are going to stay home and watch ball games. Tomorrow we head to the Gulf Coast and New Orleans. I can't do the crowds and the drunk drivers.

Warning! Tales of youthful foolishness below
(after all, I am an "amateur" )
After a semi-rough day from a New year's eve eve party, got to a house party at 10:15 (passed a pickup that was flipped upside down on the side of the freeway), proceeded to do several whiskey and tequila shots. Drank cheap beer, got cheap beer spilled on me, drank more cheap beer. Watched the ball drop, drank cheap sparkling wine, kissed girl I barely know. Learned that there were a lot of people upstairs who... consumed more than they should have and proceeded to reject the contents of their stomachs in various places. I heard that you could barely see the walls in the bathroom. Fell asleep on couch, woke up and drank water, fell asleep again, woke up and ate cheap Chinese food. Drove home. I decided to pass on the "Hair of the Dog" party. Eh, it was pretty fun.
