I can't answer your questions directly, but I know carillo rods are top-notch and of super-high quality...my dad runs them in his race-spec alfa romeo engine and he loves them.

You don't need new connecting rods though unless you're looking to make INSANE amounts of power though...the stock rods are forged and shotp-eened from the factory and are plenty beefy. For $700 the cost of aftermarket rods doesn't seem justifiable...

well i don;t know if it's gonna be crazy hp but my setup consists of

iap manifoldross .020 over pistons760 cc injectorswalbroaeromotive fprtec 2 engine managementt3/t04e 57 trim .63 arhoping to hit about 300 to the wheelsand the usual other stuff new bearings seals,etcoh yeah its on a sohc

If you're only looking for 300 to the wheels you definitely don't need carillos, ,nor the 760 cc injectors (but I'm sure once you hit 300 you'll want 400, thats the way things go with boost)
