I have a redtop in my 95. It's been hesitating while in boost alot lately, and I'm wondering if running a bottle of fuel cleaner through it would help? I'm sure those cheapo things don't do much, and I've been researching some of the other ones out there.

One that I keep finding is called BG44k and runs about $20 a bottle. Does anybody have experience with this product? If not, what fuel cleaners do you guys use in your tanks when you fill up? I don't want to cause any damage to anything, so please let me know! Thanks.

Well never used it before but just wondering could give more info on your problem to make sure it is nothing else.

fuel additives isn't the answer to your boost problem. You have a boost problem, diagnose and try to fix it, rather than finding something out in the market to cover up the problem.

Do you think the hesitation could be a bad knock sensor? Because I've been throwing that code for awhile now. I have a new one, just no time to pull the intake mani off to replace it!

No, I actually pulled the code from the ecu, it was like 34 or 32 or something like that.....whatever lines up to knock sensor. My check engine light doesn't work anyways.

I don't have any boost leaks that I could find, but I don't have a tool to test for that stuff. Is there any trick to find leaks that's cheap or free?

I've actually never checked/set the timing, I don't even have a light. What should the timing be at on this car? Or what should I put it to for 10-12 psi?

And it hesitates only in the lower rpm's of each gear, around 2k. And it hesitates the worst when I only give it like 75% throttle around 2-2.5k. When I got WOT, it doesn't hardly hesitate at all, just a little bit.

Well to me from you have said so far I am thinking it could be timing, fuel, BOV, or even the wastgate. I would check all of those and timing is set to 16 degress at idle
