http://www.frsport.com/Cometic....htmlNone of the parts store's are stocking the exhaust mani gaskets anymore. They're not even stocking them in their distribution centers anymore. It's a direct order from Felpro now. Ghey. So I figured, if these work alright, I'll never have to worry about an exhaust mani gaskets again. BUT, I don't want to spend $45 on a set of gaskets that don't seal either.

Havent had experience with sealing, but I can tell you that they are a pain to port match, even with the help of a die grinder..

They have sort of a raised part around the inside which is primarily the sealing part (2-3mm width). This being the case, another problem if you have decent sized ports, it is not wide enough to port match without affecting the sealing..

I ended up going back to an oem set of gaskets, much easier to work with..

yea thats how the felpro ones are too. the gaskets overlap on the ports of the manifold..i thought of trying the Cometics, but said screw it.

i actually have exhaust gaskets on the way and will be here tomorrow if you want them Ryan. The ones i ran before my HG started leaking aren't even seated yet and are still good so ima reuse them. but yea, ALL the gaskets i ordered had to be orderd from Felpro direct..

I'll take those exhaust gaskets! How does $10 shipped sound? You should be able to just put them in a regular envelope. The weight limit for an envelope is 13oz. IIRC, so you might have to put them in 2 envelopes. Regardless, it's still cheaper than any other way you'd mail them.

LMK your paypal addy and I'll send the money ASAP. I can't install my HKS turbo kit until I have these, and needless to say, I'm chomping at the bit.

Just to speak from experience, i have used the Cometic exhaust manifold gaskets since i first built the motor almost 3 years ago. I have since removed the manifold no less than 6 times (including 3 times this year alone!) and have reused them each and every time with no problems whatsoever. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

Did you do anything to the head or manifold before bolting them together? I just bought a couple of sets of stock gaskets, but if you've had a good experience w/them, then I'll pop for the Cometics and put them on the next time I pull the manifold off.

I ran in to the same issue with lack of stock avaliiable so i have been running the cometic exhaust gasket for close to a year no problems. I did not mill the head or my cheap a** China manifold and after going through 3 gaskets in a year of blown turbos. This thing has paid for itself a couple of times.
