If you do for speakers or what not, can you snap a few pix for me?

I'll be opening up my doors in a couple of weeks, but in the mean time, I'd like to know what it looks like in there and what I can scrap for weight.

Gracias.

Just remember while scrapping weight, you *could* also be scrapping some of the pieces that may save your arse in an accident. Be careful what you gut from her...

Thank you Beaner.

I'm well aware of this. I'm going to probably take the door off of the chassis and weigh it.

I'm also going to see if it's possible to integrate the carbon fiber shells with the safety beams.

I can't believe that the rigidity of the car is dependent on the doors being ridiculously heavy.

I'm hoping the culprit isn't the window (though I'm sure it takes a good portion of the cake.)

Nah, the glass isn't that heavy. It has to be the excess BS in there.

Backseats aren't light, and neither are the fronts. You could drop a pair of Sparco's in there and ditch the backs, and that should pull about 400 lbs off her.

Please stop tempting me lol

I'm going to try to prove that our coupes can be lightened without losing any features.

I MAY have to resort to removing stuff like you suggested, but I'm hoping to be able to shed a couple hundred pounds without any severe mods.

As it is, the sparcos would stop my wife from nagging at me every time I take a turn too fast (multi-point seatbelts, per her suggestion )
