i was wondering what a s13 with a stock rb25det will do on the dyno and the strip

the engine is rated at i think 250 hp at 7psi from what i have read

and i think that the engine was safe up to 15 psi as a maximum

i saw a drag time on dragtimes.com, which i dont think is that reliable, at a stock rb25det at about 13 seconds

anybody know for sure what the answer to this question is?

edit: ok so now im getting a lot of good info about the drag time now how about the dyno???

Youtube or streetfire will be your best search engine for finding dyno times and track times. Every car seems to vary.

My car Mostly stock on 4psi, run 8.60's in the 1/8th mile.

I ran mine with stock fueling, stock turbo (@12psi) , and stock intercooler with lowered compression and head work at 14.4 @104 mph or something lame like that. I was also running all-season tires on my fatass S14.

A truly stock RB25 S1/S2 would probably do better especially with higher compression and if the rear transmission mount was solid or McKinney. I couldn't launch at all so it bogged off the line.

This year should be a little better though

OMG I better be seeing high 11's if I can get traction. I'm actually thinking of slapping the stock rear suspension back on to go to the track this summer.

It will be better than on coilovers that's for sure. The rear should squat a lot better and the weight transfer should help plant more power. New toe links won't hurt either.

I've got cdorhout's old 265/40/18 falken's on the back so I'm not expecting anything great. I don't have money this year for drag radials and new wheels so I'll just have to go tractionless for the first couple gears It will be good for me to get used to the power.

Anyways, this is getting wayyy off topic. Sorry thrasherx89

Not really off-topic when talking about power transfer to help at the strip :D

So what about coilovers set to the softest setting? This is the first time I've heard of "preferring stock suspension for power"

I always thought that aftermarket suspension helped to maintain the power.

Take a look at a coilover spring Vs the stock spring. The stock Spring has less coils and will allow a softer launch, allowing for better weight transfer and better traction. The coilover doesn't seem to go soft enough. I haven't tried launching with my new set of coilovers, But on my Tein springs and struts I was able to cut 1.6 60's at the track. If I can't cut anything close to that on these megans im going back to the stock in the rear.

Now the front, I was having trouble of alot of front end bounce after I launch causing some swaying problems on top end for me. So Im going to leave the front coilovers on so I can keep the front end Semi hard for less bounce and a cleaner pass.

i was thinking about 4 psi for driving 6-7 psi for drifting and 12-14 psi for drag or telling 08 corvettes to shut up

I didn't realize you weren't buying tires this season. Good luck breaking into even the 12s with those ****ty tires. You're gonna have way more power than I did on them, and I couldn't even keep them planted until 3rd.Dig deep Darius, get some real tires.

ya its kinda pointless going to the track without some good tires. I bought my MT ET Drags brand new from a guy that didn't need them for 200$.
