I love my car, but hate this clutch "saftey feature" that holds the clutch pedal if the RPMs are over 5k. Its dangerous, not to mention bad for the clutch...Is there any mod that will eliminate this problem?

I agree...I posted that question awhile ago and no one was able to answer it. I don't think the 350Z has that feature so it doesn't make sense to me either, which kinda blows if one pulls up next to me at a light..lol

Why would you want to make 5K clutch dumps anyways.

That question rolled through my head as well. You wouldn't need it for a fast launch it'd actually hurt your time so the reasoning is beyond me .....unless one wanted to boil the tires off the wheels

At any rate I haven't tried this nor am I going to anytime in the forseen future w/ tires costing over $350 each , but those of you with this issue I'm assuming you turned VDC off before attempting this right ? If not it will prevent a launch at that RPM as it knows it will go nowhere and instead spin the bloody hell out of the rear tires. Again just a thought but if you haven't turned VDC off...do so...then try it again.

Yes, this happents when the VDC is on or off. I want to be in control of my clutch, not the computer. It feels like the car makes the clutch slip until the Revs are below a certain point.

Sometimes I want to spin the tires a little...trying to get rid of stock rubber!

Trust me, it doesn't take 5k dumps to get the tires spinning.

Is there a PCM flash that can get rid of this? Why would the G35 have it, and not the 350Z?

I dont seem to have this problem in my '06. I can spin the wheels through second gear bouncing off the redline.
