i recently bought one from tigerjapanese.com an they sent me a bad engine with very low compression that i cant even get it started so i was ripped off 1300 an now im in the market of buying another one so anybody know sombody or a friends friend hit me up asap

...so why is this engine bad? Did you compression test it right? Engine op temp with the throttle wide open? When you were testing it did you drip some oil in the cylinders to see if comp would go up?If i were you i would just rebuild the one that you have if you have the money to just outright buy another...Also did you buy this off ebay or something? why can you not return it?You should post what you did to diag the issue then maybe we can help you figure out whats wrong with the engine and save the headache.

well i have a mechanic that tryed everything to get it started up an he compression test was like really bad each cylinder was like 40 30 50 105 25 an just couldnt get it started an bought from TIGERJAPANESE.COM some place in canada idk 1300 is cheaoer than rebuilding it unless someone can do it for me for 2000 cuz i dont have time

And it came with a 30day warranty but it took me 2 months to finally get the money to have it put in so i was f-ed they told me case closed cant do nothin bout it

WOW those numbers are really bad!!! Even cold they should never be that low! Well that place sucks! Good luck, maybe you can find a good shortblock somewhere! Just move the head over and throw in some ARP headstuds while your doing it!

i would have told you to stay away from tigerjapanese, their cars and engines are really bad,ive heard way too many horror stories about them.

you better drive down the hill and hit up some local importers. You might beable to get another full one for that price or just the long block.

i have used Jhot for years and never had a problem out of there motors that they did not fix. they give a 30 day warrenty on the internals. I bought a RB25 from them one time that was bad timing belt had slipped in japan so the head was trash and the pistons on 3 cylinder all along the head so i called them and sent it beck they sent me another 25 from there next shipment

That sounds like a headache in itself... they should not ever ship out a bad engine... the place i got mine had a 90 day on it... I would just not use them thats two to many bad engines

haha i know it sounds gay but i havent been able to drive it for a year an i just need something stock an reliable for a daily driver to get them wheels turning..you wanna know somethin gay?..so far on this swap i have already spent about 4 g's an the F***in car still sits in front of my house

buy another motor from them and send this one back and say you want your nmoney back for it, they sold me a bum 26 clip, i got all my money bk and got to keep the clip, well all but 750 bucks, but a 26 clip was well worth it, spent the money i got back on everything thats on the car now
