I was just wondering if anyone out there is running aftermarket 17s on their Z. Got any pics? Size recommendations/offsets tire size? Or reasons to do it or not do it? I'm considering some aftermarket Enkei racing wheel and am just looking for some input.

Enkei makes some light wheels especially 17" and 18".

17" is good for performance, but not for look for Z.

The only reason I can see going with a 17" wheel is for performance. And the only thing you can squeeze out of that, that you can't on an 18" is most likely going to be weight. So you can get a lighter wheel with the 17" probably. I personally went for the 18" upgrade, lost about 3 lbs per wheel over the stock 17's. The reason I went for 18's is so in the future if I decide to go with a big brake kit I won't have to upgrade the rims.

I lucked out and snagged a 17" set for $300 to get winter tires on. Turns out these 17s weigh 10 lbs each less than my stock 18s. Problem is the offset is out of control (+40 all around) I want to track the 17s though so i'm going to try the spacer route. Chances are i'll have some camber issues.
