If you're in the Austin area and are interested in an ECU tune, please give UpRev a call about coming in. They are looking for stock cars so they can compile data on them in person. I have submitted a ROM dump of my ECU, they've done some simple tunes. But to truly extract the power of the VK56VD we need someone in Texas to drive down to UpRev and have them dyno the car, rummage through the ECU and see what they can do to unleash its full potential.

With a motor this large and boasting direct injection, we are definitely leaving a ton of power on the table. I have a light UpRev tune on my car with stock exhaust, and my tuner was able to extract 40WTQ in parts of the low rev-band (2000-3000RPM) and about 10-15WHP. With some breathing mods and with UpRev possessing better hands-on knowledge of our ECUs, we can easily get more power than that.

Hey bud!
Got your PM. You have PMs disabled on your end, though so it's not letting me reply.

Give them a call. I don't actually work for them just passing the word along. :) They'll tell you everything.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

I hope there's some progress with this for the 56. Just landed one that I'll be picking up this week, and I am going to be pining to tune the sucker after I throw a custom exhaust on.

I'd definitely give them a call and see, I for one would be grateful if you could go there and have them test your car so we can finally get full blown ECU support for this car hah.

I sent an email the day I posted to this thread, then life got in the way. I'll make a point to call this week. I'll report back any details.

This is exciting. I got very little help from them with mine. I know there's a LOT more potential in this thing. Once we can figure out the ignition timing, it's only going to get better from there.

I think so. We haven't heard anything. Give UpRev a call and see if they are still looking to test...we'd love to have a car go there! Thanks!

Yes!

If you could do it and not flake, that'd be amazing. You'd be a pioneer for us. :)
