I haven't been able to find where this would go from my FSM and I don't even know exactly what it is supposed to be good for. Has anyone ever used something like this?

Thanks!

it is a so;id steering bushing. it is a Pain In The Asz to install. you pretty much have to take out your motor to put it in. it goes right at the firewall down where the steering shaft. my friend has one laying around right now but is waiting until he puts in a new motor and then he will install that spacer. it gives you more response in the steering wheel. it eliminates those crappy bushings that nissan puts into their cars. you would be suprised how much a pillowball joint feels compared to a oozy woozy rubber bushing.

Thanks for the info on that unit. I'm trying to go "bushing free" so anything that makes the car more of a pain in the *** to drive around town sounds great! I remember an old quote that this guy made, but I don't remember where:

"You want it to ride like a Ferrari or a Cadillac? You can't have both."

I whole-heartedly agree! Full race or full plush!

i am also on the bushing-less route. so far i have pillowball tension rods and tein HE coilovers with the pillowball upper mounts. i gotta get all those rear suspension links replaced and get some subframe spacers.

I have seen those subframe spacers advertised before, what are the effects of lowering the rear subframe?

from my understanding, the spacers are supposed to just make it much more stiff. eliminate rubber crap bushing and replace with solid aluminum thing. i might be wrong.

For the rear subframe, there is about an inch or a little more of travel before the bushings contact the body. The subframe spacers eliminate the majority of that play and thus firm up the rear end. If you have wheel hop around corners, adding sub frame spacers will definately eliminate it.

As far as getting rid of all your busings, it's a long and painful process but cheap if you do all of the pressing yourself.
