And we've all been driving these death traps without the warning on the brake fluid reservoir cap? Lucky no one was killed.

And apparently a Versa is an SUV.

Hahahaha

Yes, for a missing sticker on the brake reservoir helps you stop

Hmmm....Maybe the V has the Murano's brakes, hence the SUV part.

I thought the Murano's brakes were bigger than the V's tires? lol

Got the super special cap today. Should I put it on? Will the extra weight of the warning will kill my mileage?

It should definitely help knock off some feet on your stopping distance.

Man, crap like this never happened back in the old days. Good thing my Maxima has all it's proper underhood stickers. I know I'm safe driving it.

Got my new brake fluid reservoir cap today. Think I should go to the dealer to have it installed?

its not even a sticker. The warning to knock off dirt prior to removal is embedded on the cap. Should be real easy to read if you have dirt on it.

Silly government regulations

I got mine. It will sit on the shelf until 5 years from now when I change my brake fluid. Just removing the cap can expose the fluid ot moisture and dust. The system was filled in a relatively clean environment at the factory. Just opening the cap can dramatically reduce the life of the fluid.

This is probably the most pointless lowest level of recall possible. The existing cap read "Use DOT 3 Brake Fluid" The new cap reads something line "use DOT # brake fluid from a sealed container, clean the cap before removal".

Netiher is legible without first removing the cap. Ther is NOTHING wrong with the original cap.

Bottom line... a bunch of lawyers made some money and Nissan had to waste $5 per car distributing the new caps.

They might as well put a sticker on the steering wheel that says " always drive wiht caution. Avoid running into other cars and stationary objects"

Gee... you mean letting dust get into the brake fluid is bad? Wow... thank's for saving my life.

After finding a jeweler's lope to actually see the letters on the new and improved cap, I wondered how many ridiculous calls our dealers will get about the 'sealed container' issue...... "but if I open the container, it won't be sealed anymore!"Now with my super-duper brake fluid cap and my SL emblem, I should get 36 mpg. I wonder what pin stripes would do? Hmmmm!

My cap arrived today. Nissan won't respond about the TPMS problem however.

If you do put it on, it might bring your mileage down to the rest of us

I'm still waiting for the Cap, passengers airbag assembly, and auto dimming mirror that is a "we owe" from the dealer. Mirror was part of the sale deal.
