Quote »here's some pics that were posted on az240sx.org. apparently he's doing allright, but he has a fractured hip, and can't walk for 6 weeks or so. He's been released from the hospital. The drunk driver didn't have insurance, and alfred only had liability there's afew threads on az240sx discussing buying him a new chassis to put the CA in, which I think is an awesome idea! I wish him a fast recovery and good luck with the new CA project[/quote] Man, that is tragic, but good thing is he'll be able to come back and do this again. I'm game with dumping in a few dollars to get him back on track.
On another note, my friend carshed his SR powered SDS (Dee-tuned) S14 into a cement pole at about 35 mph and fractured his hip. Everyone I know around here that has crashed these cars always have an hip injury or leg and lower back injury. I definitely have concluded that although the 240 is a good/balanced fun car, it does not take a good impact and leaves not too much safety for the driver. So all of you wanna be drifters and high-speed dippers, chill. I know this case wasn't Alfred's fault, but for those that like to race, if you lose control of that car and it's passenger compartment is the impact point, you may as well bow down and suck your own sausage because you will be owned.
We had one guy here nearly get disintegrated in his S13 with RB25 and yes he's DEAD and so is his passenger. My sentra spared my life twice and I am in debt to it. But the 240 is a different kind of car, so becareful guys.
Btw, I know because I got 26 stitches in my face after smacking a pole at nearly 80mph after sliding over 123 yards (60 on cement and 63 on cement) and here's a picture to prove it:
