Alright, here's the run down:Washed the car.Dried it.PolishedWaxed.

After all that, the "wife" sees a mark left by bird $hit. So I figure: "Hey, I'll wet sand it~!" Turns out, my outer coat of paint (or clearcoat, whichever) had RUST~!!!! Not enough rust to make it ugly, just enough to piss me off~!. So I started with just my trunk hatch, then I re-waxed the part. Looks ?shiney?, but it's got some swirl marks from the sand paper. Anyone know how to take it out??? I've tried buffing, but it seems like the swirls are on the inside or something.....

PS - I used a set of 2000 grit sand paper, not rough at all... Thanks in advance~!

Damn, so no one's ever worked on detailing their paint? Well, I'll go out to get some meguiar's Scratch X or something and fill you guys in on it later on. PEACE~!

AGREE!! clay bars are excellent. There was a good thread about clay bars in Infiniti general a while back, so RatedR you might want to do a search on there and see what they had to say.

Cool, but I'm still pretty much set on the Meguiar's product lines.... I know they have that clay stuff too, dunno I guess I'd check with the local parts shops to see what their recommendations are.
