Title says it all. Ive basically been building models since i was in middle school, im out of school now. Right now im working on two... Both Revell kits. One a integra that i started last year and havent gotten around to adding the finishing touches. the other a civic HB, its actually a really nice model for the price. i paid 10 dollars. Next project is defenately going to be a higher end kit. Looking into the tomiya R34GTR.;)

i used to do them but i would get too impatient and end up trying to get it done fast which makes the paint look bad and some of the parts have glue all over them

I built tons of models when I was younger. Airplanes, cars, ships. My personal favorite was the replica of the British warship HMS Serpens, that took me months to do, it was so incredibly detailed and minute. It had its own minature rope rigging that all had to be tied and adjusted by hand...the decks were all super-detailed right down to the galleys, the bunks, the bilge, cannons, everything. It's still sitting somewhere in a dusty corner of my attic. I wish I had time to build models again, but now, I have bigger toys to work on.

I used to build them a lot. Used to get the cheaper ones from Wal-Mart, like my '71 Hemi 'Cuda. But i've gotten into the better Japanese kits, Tamiya and Hasagawa making some really good ones. I have a Fujimi Sil-80 from I-D, a Ken and Mary Skyline by Aoshima and a 2000 Skyline GT-R by tamiya. the tamiya kit has the most detail, like full engine and suspension and interior. great kit for the money. The other dont have engine detail and limited suspension detail. I used to build tons of Anime models, i.e. Gundam, Macross, Patlabor, and Five Star Stories. These dont require as much painting since they are already colored and i kinda got tired of building them, plus the really good ones cost a lot.

On a side note that semi-pretains to the topic...does anyone else have the Tamiya Mini4wd cars? I own two and was kinda thinking about selling them since i dont use them.

hlj.com sells all sorts of stuff like after market detailing pieces. the only problem is that theyare in japan. so shipping is a little more and it takes a while to get your stuff.

Right now I'm working on a 300zx turbo model. The cool thing I like about it so far is the clear hood that it has. Taking my time on it so it will look very nice.

I dont plan on painting the clear hood. Getting close to getting it finish soon, I'll post a pic of it when its done in the other thread.:) From all the other cars I built, this one has been the easiest for me yet.
