Im bout to get my second 240.. has awesome paint, even painted door jams to match but the interior is not up to par and i found molded carpets for 2-300 with and without the sound dampening. Anybody bought and installed these? Any recommendations?

I would get it with the sound dampening personally. That is what I bought for my car. But then again its all about personal preference. Lots of guys on here with gutted interiors but thats not my thing. I like quiet and comfort. There are pics of my interior upgrades in my build thread in my sig if you want to see mine.

if you dont get the isulated you might regret it later... at least durin the summer part of the year as the heat will transfer much easier than with the insulator! im almost considering buying another carpet as im nearly fed up with it, plus the one i got doesnt fit as well as i thought it would... but its up to you, just giving you what i thought of mine w/o insulator

I purchased a molded carpet from ACC a couple of years ago. Overall, the fitment was good. It is imperative that you take your time before cutting the various holes needed to fit it properly. Take your time and you will end up with a good fitting product. That is the good.

Now the negatives. The insulation and backing was very broadly placed, especially on the rear footrest area. The padding was run straight acroos the transmission tunnel making it a nuisance to cut the holes for the parking brake and whatnot. and finally, my biggest gripe. The carpeting itself was very...cheap, low quality and shedded very easily. Very generic look and feel to it. I ended up pulling it out after a month.

My suggestion? Find you an 89-90 (assuming you have an S13 to begin with) with good carpeting. I found one in a junkyard, paid $20 for it, took it to a carwash and hit it with $10 worth of quarters. Never looked back since.

When I first got my 95 it had no carpet, looked around forever and ended up getting some carpet from a place I can't remember the name of now for almost 200$. It fit like crap. It was nice and thick and had a lot of sound deadener/backing, but I eventually ended up ebaying a good clean stock carpet with perfect fitment and no random wrinkles. I have been happy ever since.

So, my advice, just as above is search for a decent used one and clean it.
