Whats up guys...picked up my motor, and its allready off to the machine shop, sorry i didnt take any pics, but its pretty cold here in CT...

anyways i have a real good price on a garrett t3t04e 60 trim, .63 A/R, and ive checked the map, it seems like it should work for the power level i want (300-400hp). Im just wondering if anybody else is running this particular turbo...what are youre fellings on it. Im also open to any opinions or critiscm...BUT im not going to downsize to a GT28R, so dont spout off about how great the disco potato is....I know, it fits the needsof most SR owners...i might go down to a 50trim, but im mainly looking for actual realworld info. Im having trouble finding any info in the archives...

60 trim is gonna be pretty laggy. You can get well over 400whp with a 50Trim .63 A/R with Stage III Compressor Wheel.

yeah, i know the 50trim is pretty decent, i rode in my friends ~430whp KA-t and that thing spooled pretty quick....a little too quick, it was like a damn on/off switch from docile daily driver to **** your pants fast...

Im just worried that the 60trim will be too laggy, especially with the SR, i know itll make the power, i jsut dont wanna wait till like 5000 rpms for it to be making boost.

I might not be going with this set up now anyways...ive got an even better deal on a brand new 50trim, .63 A/R...only thing is its a "Biagio", i know theyre made in brazil, but beyond that i know absolutely nothing about their reliablility and craftsmanship...

got some more reading to do...thanks for the info

ive had great luck with both turbos. the 60trim is a great turbo for a dd because its alittle less responsive, i dont like driving around town on really responsive turbo

Didn't like it on my celica all trac. Hits full boost too late.

Good luck with the turbo dorifto. Anyone know what kind of power this turbo could put out on a stock bottom end sr safely, of course with all supporting mods and one hell of a tune. Also any estimates at what it would make full boost at?

Anyone ever tryed putting in the ball bearing center section upgrade from garrett?

Maybe i will keep it after all.

well, it should behave similarly to the 50 trim, with a little more lag, and top end potential...IIRC the 50 trim is very comparable to the gt28r in terms of responsiveness, and it (the 50 trim) can make over 450 hp at the flywheel at 20psi....so yours should be somewhere around there....with a little more room to grow on the top end.

Alright cool because everyone i talked to kept telling me that it would be horrendous on there, so i was just trying to find out what it would be comparable to in terms of the usual ball bearing turbos used. I still might just pick up a 3071r instead, but since i have this turbo already i figured i would ask around.

If i dont pick up the 3071r, im going to put this turbo on there, worse comes to worse i can always just pick up a ball bearing center section upgrade for it from atpturbos.com
