I'm trying to get back my money from PJ for my s14 ENTHALPY tuned ecu. I got an e-mail from him about 2 1/2 weeks that he was sending out my refund check in the mail. Well 2 1/2 weeks later I have nothing. Was wondering if there is anybody else that is have issues with boostdesigns, or if anybody has been in contact with him in the last week. I have sent him like 5 e-mails in the last week and have not heard a thing. I am going to be pissed If I get screwed over again.

Thanks, Marcus

Doubt it's on the way.

I have an email from 6/1 saying my package "went out yesterday"....

Must have been sent by drunk one-winged carrier pigeon.

It is impossible for him to have sent out the ecu. First and foremost, because Scott (Enthalpy) is no longer doing business with Boost Designs. Secondly, he is still out of S14 conversion harnesses, and will be for a long time.Boost Designs makes a habit out of blaming other people. First it was Scott (the very reason he no longer deals with BD), now it's apparently going to be the Post Office who gets blamed. All this BS that's going on with PJ and Boost Designs needs to be stickied. So many people are still getting screwed, and believing his lies.A buddy of mine asked about buying a kit and what happened to him on the forums.. here's the reply:Quote »i am totally merged with ATR... i am over[seeing] the ATR import motorsports division of the company. i am not going anywhere i am just not on the forums anymore becouse i am not giving the [forum]owners any more free parts so they found someone new that aparently will. thanks [/quote]-Jeff

That is why I am getting my money back from him. Because Scott is no longer doing busniess with Boostdesigns. I have my ECU here, I had paypaled PJ the money and then sent the ECU to him, but it had gone to his old "SHOP" in FL. The package came back after 2-3 weeks..I e-mailed PJ and he gave me the new shop address in SC. But right before I was going to ship out the ECU, I read the post by scott that he is no longer doing busniess boostdesigns. So I e-mailed PJ and the next day he replied stating the refund check was going out Monday. Now almost 3 weeks later I am writing this and getting pissed off that I may loose even more money trying to my car boosted.

Thanks for letting me vent

Hmmmmm, interesting.

No one, to my knowledge EVER GOT anything free from him.

I don't recall ASKING for anything free.

If anything, he got 5 months of free advertising from us, and as far as I'm concerned, he owes us $1250.

I know we'll never see it, just like we'll never see our stuff that was SUPPOSEDLY sent.

BTW, for anyone reading this, I got NOTHING for free. I'm paying for my IAP kit.

Better not come in here posting that lame bullcrap.

I called him this morning and he said that he is trying to get the money from paypal. I guess Paypal is holding money from him.. It has been over 45 days so paypal will not do anything.

Did you fund the paypal with a credit card? You can contact the CC company and do a chargeback.Paypal only holds funds when there have been alot of complaints. I've processed ~$20k via paypal, and never had an issue...-Jeff

I dont doubt that PJ has had quite a bit of complaints on his paypal account, so of all his BS excuses, this one might be one of the more legitimate. Still, paypal is holding the money not for themselves, but to protect the customers who have complained. It might be a good thing that paypal has your money rather than PJ.... Have you filed a complaint yet?

I thought NICO was too quick to drop BD as a sponsor. Even after someone showed us his 'new' manifold that looked like I welded it, I thought BD was getting the short end of the stick.

But if he wasnt even paying for his sponsorship or sending Greg his parts, I completely understand why he got the boot. How much money did this site generate for him? Not to mention how many guys are still wanting for parts. Jeez, thats no way to run a business or make friend in this community...

I would have dropped him like a bag of feces right after finding out about the "new" manifold. That's bait-and-switch, which is illegal. It goes from being a $200 (manufacturing cost) manifold that had some thought to it.. to a tubular revhard-style log manifold, probably $80 production cost. And for $450, I did buy the first BD manifold. For $450, I'd firebomb someone's house if I got the 2nd manifold. Why? Because I'd rather pay $350 and get a cast iron revhard than a tubular RH knockoff. They needed to be dropped. But allowing advertising without collecting money is purely on Greg. I'm not implying anything there.. good or bad. But I will say that I doubt he'll ever allow someone to have a day of advertising without collecting money.-Jeff

Well Greg runs the site. I know who's in charge here. He's gotta do what he thinks is best. I support him in that. I wouldnt be here if I didnt.

I never said anything til now, cause my opnion on the matter is irrelevent. Now that Ive heard BD's side and I understand the backgorund behind Greg's actions, I completely agree. Even after seeing BD's fuel rail, then the Enthalpy issue, and finally the new manifold, I was still naive about what was going on. I'm usually the last one to praise someone, and the last to criticize.

But I'm smart enough to know that if Greg GAVE me a sponsorship, he would at least get his parts overnighted or hand-delivered or something.

My deal with him was clear:

3 months of FREE sponsorship PLUS exclusivity in the KA-t forum (over a $750 value), in exchange for a Stage 1 kit AT COST (which I leave to the honesty of the advertiser). After 3 months, he'd go to a monthly rate of $175 (discounted)...

After 3 months passed, and I'm no closer to seeing a kit, and SEVERAL marketing opportunities missed (having my car featured on SpeedVision was a pretty big OOPS), I began to get concerned.

The email stating my kit was "on it's way, it left yesterday" (when I had first-hand, inside information to the contrary) was the last straw.

Jeff, you're right - it won't happen again, this has soured my trust in most anyone. Even IAP and NICO have a contractual agreement, which I don't like to have to do.

But to think that I would have been getting anything for "free" is ludicrous... Perhaps I should... Hmmmmm....
