Welcome to NICO!

Let me point you towards the 240sx forums. Spend some time reading there. and perhaps ask those guys (I'm assuming you're getting a 240?)

Happy reading, and congrats on your car!

Save up some money and get coilovers instead....you won't be disappointed, the quality difference over just springs is huge.

why?what "quality difference?" what are you talking about? I run RS*R race springs, cusco camber plates, and kyb AGX and my car its pretty much right where it needs to be. I used to run S tech and they are not a race spring at all, very soft and street oriented. Going with a setup like mine is cheaper than a setup like the tein basic, and I have camber plates and effective adjustable shocks, and my spring rates aren't rediculously high. If you want race springs and the car won't be driven on the road, kg/mm makes some very stiff ones, but I'm not aware of any off the shelf shocks/struts that would be ideal for those springs. the RSR springs are about as stiff as you would want to use with the AGX.

i suppose you're talkinga bout the RSR race and not the down-sus or whatever those are called...

how much did those run you? cuz i'm looking for something much much stiffer then the S-techs...the stechs are as stiff as my mini cooper S STOCK

I thought the spring rate on the RS*R's were a little high for the S13. I went with the Tanabe GF210's. I haven't actually tried anything other than the GF210's, so i can't give you an exact comparisson. I just searched for what i thought was the best spring rate.

The tanabe GF210's and the RS*R race springs were my two top choices, but i went with the tanabe because the spring rate seemed better. The RS*R's seemed too stiff. tanabe still gives around 20 or 30 percent increase, don't remember the stock spring rate right now but i remember from looking it up when i bought the springs.

Also the F/R spring rate difference was much higher in the RS*R's. Because of the S13's weight balance all springs will have a higher rate up front, but the tanabe's had the best F/R spring rate ration from all the springs i saw.
