i don't mean get the light to stop blinking, thought that would be nice. i mean have the system complete and the computer doesn't send any error codes. i have to have my car inspected soon and i think they check for that. i think they make sure the light is working first then make sure it turns off once the car is running so i can't just take the bulb out.

any thoughts?

good to know, thanks. i'd still like it to work though, but not a huge priority. i always wear my seatbelt anyway.

i've always heard that airbags help more for non seatbelt wearers, and not much if you already have it on.

nope, not wearing a seatbelt when you have an airbag is an easy way to at least break your nose or at the worst break your neck. They deploy REALLY fast and are meant to work over a certain distance from the steering wheel so if you move closer to that becuase your seatbelt isn't on, good luck. Not that any of this applies to you since you wear your seatbelt.
