Am I the only one here who's had a PF continuously since the first model year('87)? I bought my first PF 12/31/86 (I wanted the sales tax deduction (it wentaway in '87), the dealer wanted one more sale that month). I traded the '87in 10/95 on a close-out '95, which I traded in the summer of '01 on a new '01.

And BTW, there's been a Datsun/Nissan in my garage since 08/72 (240Z, sold in'88, it's still on the road) and '71 POS beater pickup bought about '79, sold in'87. I've never bought anything but a Datsun/Nissan (I inherited the 'vette)

This is my first Nissan but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. My last vehicle was a Ford Explorer which was probably the most unreliable POS of all time. The only other Ford I would even think about buying would be the Raptor. Needless to say I'm jealous, I wish I started on the right path like you.

Chuck, I don't fall into your category re: my Pathfinder, but I have to tell you, I've owned a lot of cars in my time (I'm an old fart), and my Pathy is the best thing I've ever driven, BY FAR!! Nothing I've had has come close to the reliability and pleasure I've had from this SUV. It has been bulletproof. I use it daily for my work (I'm a renovator/handyman), and I don't baby it at all.My first Nissan was actually my '03 Sentra S-er, which I bought new. I purchased my Pathfinder 6 months later. The '06 Altima was a demo with very low mileage that the dealer was practically giving away. That's the wife's car now. They've all been trouble free (normal maintenance excluded). When I compare these cars with the crap I've had, I feel blessed. I could tell you lots of stories about some of the garbage I've driven, but that would take 10 pages. Most of the stories would centre around the Big Three by the way. Nuff said.
