Anybody else got the eBay version of the Z32 rear ladder bar?

A buddy purchased one of these sometime back and kinda forgot about it. Tried to install thinking it would be a snap and it's fitting me the whole way. Pulled out the exhaust mufflers to make it easier.

I disassembled the unit and bolted it to the frame to make it easier and then can't assemble in middle. No dice. Okay, fine then. Bolted it all back up and it won't fit flush. WTF?

Is it just a **** product or am I doing the instal wrong? I can't believe I can't get this to line up. No one else around me has these so I just thought I would throw something up.

Worse case I'll drill out the mounting holes some more and chop it up.

God, sometime I freaking hate eBay.
