Hey Jeff,

I'm no attorney but after working for a bankruptcy trustee and handling corporate bankruptcy for the last 5 years, I would strongly recommend against it. But, then again, sometimes it cannot be avoided. At any rate, I can't give you "real" advice but I do know a little bit.

A option is to go to a debt management firm. The consumer credit counseling office in your state should be able to assist you in getting interest rates lowered or even dropped. They will collect one monthly payment from you and distribute it to your creditors. Bankruptcy should be avoided if at all possible. I'd suggest at least contacting one of these firms to see what they might be able to do for you. Looks like you have two cars. Consider getting rid of one and perhaps getting a cheaper vehicle.
