any way to test MAF with a DMM?

im going to buy a used MAF sensor tomorrow and want to know if theres a way i can see if it checks out on site?

.... since its no returns, and i cant drive my car there obviously...

Not as far as I know, no. The MAF has one heated wire that requires 12V and one wire that changes voltage as it heats up or down, which is how the ECU calculates how much air is entering the engine. It's not about resistance.
