In a 240 with no cruise control, the horn contact ring makes contact with only one pin in the steering column. My 240 had cruise control that was removed, but there are two other pins than the horn one. With an aftermarket wheel one of the two pins makes contact with the horn ring and the horn honks when I turn the wheel. I fixed it by putting a vaccum cap over the pin, but they keep wearing out and need to be replaced. Is there any way to remove those extra pins from the steering shaft without just cutting them off?
