So I have had my wheels for a few months now and the lips are starting to get spots. Tried to polish the lips once and didn't get too far because of the amount of time it took. I'm not lazy, just pressed for time. Any body have good ideas on how to get it done well but quickly Here are a few picks since most don't know my Coupe....

You can use Nevr Dull at walmart, pepboys, etc on uncoated, polished parts of the wheel.

I've used Meguiars Mag & Aluminum Polish on polished aluminum wheels before, and it's a great product. There really is no quick way of polishing them up - you have to spend some time and give it some elbow grease if you want to get them like new. Once you have them all polished up, wax the wheels when you wax the car. That will help keep them cleaner longer, and the more often you wax/polish, the faster it will be because there isn't as much to clean up.

Well im not an expert, but your pics arent good enough to show what kind of spots you are talking about...

Get some nevrdull though, it should be like $6 for a can and it will last you a long time.

The spots are probably from hard water and brake dust/dirt that sits there. I've never used nevrdull, but the Meguiars product I mentioned above takes all of that off. Be warned though, it can take some serious elbow grease; thankfully its only the lips though.

I don't know if there was one or not. Everybody else on the forums kinda disappeared. I wasn't going to drive to downtown and be the only car there, but I really have no clue if there was a meet or not. Good to see you posting again. Got the car fixed from the tire kingdom ordeal I assume?

I use mother's chrome wheel polish, and its pretty darn good... if its sensitive enough to use on chrome wheels, my guess is it will work also on your alumnium lips as well.. just my .03
