I like watches and would love to some day be able to stop by a store and pick up a Tag or a Devon, but in the mean time, I'll have to stick with brands priced below that of a Kia.

That said, I came across a sale on Citizen, Hugo Boss, etc...

It was put on the front page of Slickdeals. There's even a sale on Citizen Signature series.

I've been wearing a Bulova chronograph for many years. Has never skipped a beat, and has taken a beating. Of course it was hard to beat the $5 "Rolex" that I bought from a street vendor in NYC. Battery lasted almost 2 years and it kept surprisingly accurate time.

Ok, don't laugh, but my fav watch I picked up from watching a late night shopping channel. It's by Android (not the smart phone people).

I'm a Bulova fan and have had a number of them over the years. They look great, are built like a tank (their Marine Star anyway) and inexpensive enough that if you do damage or even break one it's not awful to have to replace them.

Of the three I currently own, two are worn regularly...

Bulova's homage to Rolex...

and to Omega...

Th other is a change of pace watch that I don't wear much, the FLW Gugenheim Museum watch...

My last chronograph is somewhere in the depths of Narragansett Bay but I've been eyeing this one for a while...

Maybe Santa will get the request. ;)

I have a citizen eco-drive that I've been wearing for probably about 10 years or so. Unfortunately about 3 years ago the crystal cracked. One time I dropped it on the concrete and it put a small chip in the crystal, and then some time later when it was super cold outside, as soon as I went back inside it cracked. I've had the crystal replaced twice and it's not waterproof anymore. The watch still works well though, I wear it basically everywhere. I've had to have the band fixed a couple times, but each time it cost me like $10 at a watch store to have one of the pins replaced. The guy at the watch store said that kind of thing happens regardless of the watch brand.

I think for my next one I'd like to get something a little nicer than my citizen, however I do like the eco-drive concept where you never have to replace the battery.

BTW those are really good prices on the eco-drives. I think my eco-drive (which they still make) was about $400 when I got it.

Nice looking watch, but a bit much for my taste...because of the gold. I'm a silver/stainless fan.

I have a G-shock when working on helicopters, a Citizen Eco-drive when I'm not, and my Father's Longines Flagsip for special occasions. I hope to pass the Longines over to my children when the time comes. That's what I love about watches, they are easy heirloom items.

I miss my G-shock. It was a ladies version atomic-time keeping digital/analog style and the crap resin band split apart and they don't make replacements anymore (that fit the bezel).

I have one of these that I got for my birthday, I love skeleton watches:

It's not held up to my beatings so I keep it at home. It's hard finding a cool watch that can fit ladies' wrists, especially tiny wrists like mine; and the new Casio "baby g shock" watches have really gone down in quality and are all pink/silly-looking. :frown:

As great as Casio is (or was) at making their great G-Shock series over the years they have NEVER made a decent band or strap, SMH. I've owned a number of them over the years, mainly while in uniform, and I always replaced the band.

If you don't want to go the OG James Bond route and use a standard NATO strap check out some of silicone bands from Modena or Hadley Roma. Use your original spring bars if you still have them though, I've never seem any on the aftermarket that are as beefy as the original ones from Casio.
