my guess would be 1984-1987 200sx. I would find a CA18ET pump if you can, but physically the CA20E pump I have from my 200sx looks to be the same as the one on my s13. I haven't tried fitting an s12 pump on there in the engine bay before though it does bolt to the block.

my motor is in and with the IC piping off, no shroud/clutch fan theres a ton of room to work in that area, thats one benefit of the ca being the shortest swapped in motor as for ps lines, that may be tricky, are the DE ones the lines that need bending/modding or the E ones?

DE lines bolt right up to the CA pump. There is tons of room to work on it with the IC piping and intake removed.

laurier, you might have a bad pump, or bad rack. I'm not too sure what else fails on the p/s system.

if you've a SOHC KA you'll have to get DOHC KA p/s lines and resevoir hoses etc, but you'll still need a CA pump .. the SOHC KA has PS and lines run to the passenger side of the car, the DOHC KA and the SR and CA etc have it on driver's side..

its not that much harder... all the fittings are accessible with the engine in there, but it would have been easier with the motor out.
