Hey all,
I have a 1992 d21 with the ka24e motor, in the process of rebuilding my engine and reinstalling it, I removed every piece of the EGR system i could find. The only thing left on/in the intake is the idle control valve and the intake butterfly valves inside the intake. The truck idles just fine but once I depress the gas pedal it starts to stumble, which I'm assuming to be the ecu retarding the timing cause it thinks it sees that something is not right. After I release the pedal, the engine stumbles almost to the point of dying, then catches itself and returns to idling just fine. Is there someone not to far away from eastern Oklahoma that could retune this ECU or do I have to go find/order a stanza ECU thats been retuned?? I'm not new to tuning, but my knowledge is based on obd2 ECU's, not the obd1. Obd1 tuning sounds pretty straightforward but I'm to busy to learn how to use it properly.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
