Anyone have any thoughts or opinons on this unit. I like the fact that the whole unit fits in a standard gauge pod.

Expensive!!!

It's a real nice unit, but you can get comparable (non-logging) widebands for $300 give or take a few bucks. Check out the Zeitronix ZT-2 or PLX Devices M-300

On the otherhand, the fact that it mounts in a standard gauge pod is pretty trick.

I agree it is expensive for its capablilites. But i hate the idea of mounting a box somewhere in my car. The gauge looks so much cleaner. Someone please help me justify such a purchase!!! :D

Just do it!! do it. do it :)

Take a look at the PLX devices widebands. The display/controller is a 1/4 din size, so it's pretty easy to fit somewhere.
