Any thought on this one????!

I have a new 2009 SL with 1,200 miles on it. I'm at a redlight today and start to turn right and all of a sudden the Murano is making a SUPER LOUD noise from what sounded like the muffler/rear of car?? Every time I gave it gas it basically sounded similar to a car that the muffler had needed replaced! Lasted for about 4 miles then quieted down. I parked the car, took a peek underneath it and couldn't see anything wonky. Drove the car back home and it never really made that loud sound, but overall the car doesn't seem to be running as quietly anymore. Any thoughts?? Could this be the fuel dampners gone bad already like I read about on another thread? I called Nissan and they said to bring it in and they will go for a ride to hear the noise, but I don't know if it will happen again..... It was just LOUD and obnoxious!

something came loose/broken in the exhaust system most likely

for example, cat converter comb fell apart, got stuck, then shattered while being pushed and shoved down the exhaust

Thanks for the reply! What would cause something like that to happen with so little miles on the vehicle? I'll be taking it out today to see what it sounds like.....
