Not really a related answer here but noticed you traded a z370 for your new M. How was the z? Reliable? Was it auto or manual?

I was told by Megan that they have no idea when the exhaust for the M's are coming in, they don't even know if they are made yet. :tisk:

I had about 6 members from different forums wanting to place orders thru me for the last 2 months

I was able to get the last 3 axle back exhaust from Megan last June (or May), mid-pipes have been on back-order even longer.

I have a 06 M45 Sport + Megan Mid-pipes and Megan Muffler. How much would one of these tune's cost? How much can one really benefit from this in terms of MPG/HP ?

I wouldn't get a cai rather get the ZTube and leave the stock air box paper based filter instead. First the cai puts the filter into the drivers fender. That's pretty low. If you've ever gone through flooding you would not want to do that. Second the filter needs to be cleaned 2 times per year. The oiled filters gum up pretty quickly. Lastly the oil on the filter will dislodge and make its way up to the maf. That means you have to clean both more frequently. Why would you make something that requires little maintenance into something that requires much more and has risks? I've been through it before with all of my prior cars and tbh there are much more gains to be had with the mrev2 spacer and header back exhaust. Work on those, get the car tuned to the highest octane you can find and then make the Call if you still need that 1 hp and hassle.

thanks for the input, when i had my 2006 M45 i had the Injen CAI i know how low it sits and i was always worried when driving in the rain that i would hit a puddle to deep.
first what is a Ztube?
TBH?
and what MREV2 Spacer and headers would fit my 09. remember they changed the engine that year.i have dual air intake and im not sure what else is different to the previous engines....

I would look into motodyne. I just read their spacers and lower mrev2 works with the revup engine. Check their website.

Something like this would be ideal. Cold intake without much worry about hydrolock:

Holy cow that's cool. Although the AC efficiency may suffer a bit. Plus the AC condenser gets real hot on those hot days so he'll be pulling in some hot air in stop and go traffic.

I had thus when I had my 370Z, I loved it....
But to clean them was a b****, had to remove the whole front bumper to get to the filters

Yeah, I had mixed feeling about the heat. Perhaps a heat shield between the filter and condenser would help. The heat would be less of a problem if the radiator fan was constantly spinning, which wouldn't be too difficult to make happen.
After installing intakes on many previous cars, I prefer modifying the factory setup. There are usually ways to make them more efficient for cheap.

I believe the fans are running constantly when the AC is running are they not? Anyway a shield would just block the efficiency of the AC. It's a neat idea but as NycGMONyc said to clean it you have to remove the entire front bumper instead of just the wheel liner. I don't know guys I'm happy with my stock box, location is right and there isn't restrictions.
