Somehow I managed to find that picture of your car a long time ago. I've been posting that picture as an example of the perfect S15 conversion on a 'vert. I can't beleive the owner of the car actually showed up on the site. Too cool! I also can't believe I looked at your pics in the other thread and didn't put 2 and 2 together to figure out it was the same car.. too funny!!!

Anyhow.. if you're asking for my opinion as to what to improve cosmetically... please don't be offended... you car is HOT! You're asking us to be very picky. But, if it were my car... I would ditch the maroon top. I think it's a bad color for a 'vert top.. especially with how clean the lines and body flow.. maroon just isn't very flattering. I think the stock black is better personally..

Secondly.. I am sure those wheels are plenty pricey.. and they look nice. But, I am a big fan of aggresive rear wheel drive offset, deep dish wheels. I'd get a set of 18x8 and 18x10 staggered with some nice fat dish in the rear.. example... notice how the dish in the back really makes the car look aggresive.. in my opinion at least.

Third.. I'd get some new taillights.. Or smoke the lenses of those that you have. They look pretty aged and washed out in that picture.

Those are just my ideas for what I would change if it were my car. The rest of your car is pretty much perfect.. color, lines, paintwork, bodywork, etc.. all look flawless!

wow... everything eikon said i already thought of when i read your post... i agree, your car is already badasss, but eikon's suggestions are plenty powerful... imo your tail lights look faded or something...

Most things I would do have been mentioned already...but i'll say them again.

1) Lose the maroon top, go with black.2) Those rims are nice but I'm a fan of the deep dish look. 3) Go with fully clear tallights or smoke them out. 4) You don't really need a tint on a vert, but when the top is up, it doesn't hurt to have some privacy.

Your ride looks hot however, and these are just my opinions.

It's really cool that you posted here. You know whenever there's a thread about s13.5 conversion, someone post these 2 pictures of your car. I'm sure many 240 guys know your car already. Maroon top. It's your trade mark, so keep it. I'm not a fan of maroon top either, but it looks great on your car. Black top on black car looks just plain. You can go with clear tail or half amber and half red from Super Made. If you can get Super Made lenses easily, I'd say go for it since everyone has clear tails in these days.

Can you do us a favor? We only saw those 2 pictures and that was it. Can you post some more? Like interior, engine room or with topdown...etc?

keep the maroon top its like a trademark. your car is one of the reasons I wanted a vert so bad... I was told that car was from japan though...

If you do get a new top, I would sure pay top dollar for it. I'm not sure why everyone hates on it, looks classy to me. The only thing visually lacking are the wheels.

i love the maroon top!!! i remember seein this car and it was one that really showed me how classy 240's can be, i mean i love the super aggresive D1 look when its on the track, but i love clean style for the street like this. I would personally update the tails to some krystal clear ones like posted above and MAYBE and Origin M3 style spoiler, the super small one, but thats about it... FREAKIN SWEET UR POSTIN ON HERE!!

My humble opinion:

1. I don't like the top either, but I will agree it's your trademark. I remember seeing pics of this car when I first joined NICO - the top stuck with me (wish I got a tan top...now that I think of it). Also keep in mind that I have a distaste for anything wine/maroon colored period.

2. I believe your taillights are not stock - no? I don't think they look washed...in fact, I thought they might have been some aftermarket set...that looks like it has a frost to it...?

3. Spend the rest of your money on suspension - if you haven't already concentrated much in that area yet.

Or what if you painted the top half of your car maroon? That might work out...photo shop anyone? Hood + trunk = maroon?

Ok, Only need 4 things you need to do to make this vert the best looking.

1) The crystal clear tails like everyone else is saying, OR you could be adventurous and try to stick some R32 lights in there.2) New Rims! Not a huge fan of the deep dish, but also not a fan of thin 6 spokes.3) If your going to keep the maroon top (as you should, it makes it look classy) you should at least add a dark red pinstripe or something. Or better yet, the classic Nismo stripes would look amazing on this car if you get the crystal clear tails.4) Go to the junkyard and get a stock coupe/vert wing. That would look perfect without going overkill.

That would be my Dream Car if you stuck all of that on it.

If this is indeed your car... I love it. I look at it everyday as motivation to get a vert. I use it as my wall paper. The burgandy top is the sh**.

I would go with changing the wheels. I have always loved the racing hart cp-035's in a polished look like what you have now. Feast in Japan always uses these rims and I love them.

We need more pics of your ride, please.

Thanks for the replies guys..

Cant really part with the top lol as some of you have said its kinda the cars trademark and i think it would look a bit plain with a black one.. tends to blend in because of the colour anyway.

The tail lights are Jap Active K aftermarket ones which i dont think are made anymore.. just a clear light without the crystal look which is waaay overdone here in Australia.

The rims are similar to R34 GTR rims but in chrome.. have thought of changing them to some Volk GTC's in gold or similar.. something like a 19in rim with a bit of dish...

Got the car in from Japan as is pretty much and have put off doing things to it so far but i was considering some wide rear guards, you cant really tell in the pic but the rear wheels have some mean offset and sit out 25mm or so... looks cool but the police and transport authorities dont like it lol.

One thing i could never do is put a wing on it stock or otherwise.. just not a fan and i love the clean look.

Suspension wise the car has cusco coilovers and some adjustable front radius rods.. but more bracing and swaybars are on the way.

Only real problem i have is the BN sports kit is a bit low for the type of roads we have here in Australia.. speed bumps/gutters are too high haha

Here is another pic.. ill get some interior shots etc soon.. thats where some real work needs to be done as well as getting some new seals for the roof and doors as they are a bit worn etc.. though they dont leak lol.

Keep the suggestions coming guys...

"just a clear light without the crystal look which is waaay overdone here in Australia."--> I know what you mean. I think it's because you guys have garage 13 over there, and they sell super made white/red lense covers. Yeah, I've seen plenty already. Actually, a pair is in my garage right now. I'll try to install them when I have time. Those lenses are not that common here in the U.S.

Since you asked for opinions, I'll add some more.

1. s15 headlights are one of the best looking lights. You don't need eye lids to cover more than half of it. Loose them!!!2. You can get flat hood pins that are flat and flush. Someone posted in 240 gen forum.3. Lower back of the hood. I think it'll look better with clean flushed look. 4. Yeah, I'm not the fan of chrome rims, but I like skylinish 6 spoke rims. Go for GTC. They will look killer on your car.

It looks like the pictures that you posted were taken in Japan. As far as I know, Nissan Japan made 600+ s13 verts total. I think this is one of the best looking JDM verts. Keep up the good work!!!

Same exact things I would say.

If you don't go with some GT-C's...I think the GT-S's will look good also.

I saw some Nismo rims that would look great also but they are kinda expensive...

Yeah had to get some flush bonnet pins as our registration authorities say the ones i had were a danger to pedestrians lol.. i would have thought getting hit by a car in general would have been a bit more serious than a couple of cuts from a bonnet pin set lol...

I like the bonnet raised at the rear as it aids in cooling when driving hard

Ill keep the eyelids as they arent common here in AUS and i dunno if i would end up doing damage to the lights if i tried taking them off lol.

I don't know if it's the size of the picture...but maybe if you got an exhaust that's longer because I can barely see it with that kit on.

Ahh well that explains it. You really don't need to do anything to your car. Just a new set of rims and you will be set to go.

BTW, what you got going on under the hood?

Ganador mirrors look really good on your car w/s15 front. Their round styling doesn't flow well with square silvia front end. They look okay with 240 vert though.
