We got the 1.6 with the power windows and power doors. Got the radio in. Anything I should know before starting the alarm install? Any write ups? :P

Looks like you need to use the double relay "reversing polarity" setup for the door locks on the versa. My viper would not work with the door locks out of the box.. Haven't bought relays yet, but I'll see if it works when I do.

Forgot about this thread. No, turns out I didn't have to use relays. The viper was good to go out of the box. 2nd install day went without a hitch.

IIRC what happened was I had the key in the ignition listening to some music during the first install day. Well, the car doesn't allow the alarm to work properly with the ignition on acc, so I had it right the first day. Just didn't know it at the time. Ripped it all out for nothing.

I accessed the wires in the drivers side kick panel. I ripped out the passenger side panels also, but didn't even have to tap anything over there.

great news. I have the viper 211hv keyless entry and I have it almost all wired in except for the horn which the pink wire does not do anything when hooked up,kinda strange since everyplace on the internet places it as the correct wire for the horn input. Only problem I am having is the door locks,on the drivers side the actuator has 6 pins...my versa is a 2011 also, which pins did you use on the actuator?
thank you very much

Sorry I don't remember which ones..

You know what, I didn't even access the pins. The car came with power door locks. The only places I had to wire to were the driver's kick panel and under the steering column. I pulled a bunch of other stuff out I didn't have to, but turned out that is all I needed to access.

Only things left I want to do is hook up the trunk release and the horn like you said.
