Took up snowboarding this year. No broken bones but I had swollen knees, legs I had to move with my hands, and I couldn't turn my head left yesterday morning. Been twice. Gonna go again.

I'm a huge boarder. Born in PA, so I was always at Montage and Elk mountains. Moved to NJ in my early teens, so it was Blue Mountain and Camelback. Yearly trips to Hunter and Killington. A few years back, I took a trip out to Boise, Idaho to visit my gf's family. Did Bogus Basin for 2 weeks, then went to Jackson Hole for another 2. Totally ruined any sort of East coast snowboarding for me. Fresh powder every day. No ice, well-groomed. Great runs, insane parks. Glad to hear you're enjoying this season. I may try to get out then. See how things are.

Avid skier here.

Smuggs is fantastic, but hold out for a good bit more snow for them to really open up the trees- if thats your thing. They do a great job cutting high branches and removing ground clutter.

I hold a pass at Sugarbush with a few day passes picked up on epic ski or something like that for other mountains. Sugarbush is a very challenging mountain, loads of excellent terrain, not much is off limits- the way it should be. IMO, its as close to the difficulty of skiing out west as you're going to get in the east. Go over to alpinezone.com there are a good group of people in your area.

Hit up Camelback yesterday. Did the entire day. With all the snow we've had lately, it was the best conditions there I've ever seen. Lift lines were swift. Powder for hours. Got a little icy around 8pm, but by that time, we were all pretty beat up.

Took a bad spill on my last run that I'm still hurting from. Managed to tuck in my chin so I didn't smash the back of my head, but I'm definitely thinking about wearing a helmet from now on. Probably should have been for years now.

Yeah man, helmets are key.
After smashing my face in Breckenridge a number of years back, I bought a helmet the following day. I wouldn't ski without it now.

Just got back into it this year after shredding my ACL. Picked up right where I left off, bonkers about the sport. Bought one board, then wound up buying 6 over the course of the winter and going snowboarding 3 times a week. Like everything I do in life, I do it full tilt.

-164 Donek Incline
-159 Never Summer Raptor
-154 Rome Garage Rocker Wide (wound up giving this away when I got the F1)
-161 Never Summer Premier F1
-145 Marrow (no clue what model, bought it for a friend)
-160 Never Summer Proto CT

Killer pics. How you liking those Never Summer boards? I've always been partial to Forum, but everyone I see now is rocking NS.

Here are some shots from the past weekend where we got a butt-ton of snow.

I would have a better shot of this lift line off Castlerock at Sugarbush, but I was too busy skiing it. Normally its treacherous with a lot of cliffs, rocks, and drops. However, all of those obstacles became instantly huckable since the landing was pillow-y soft!

My Raptor is easily my favorite board I've ridden. I'm dying to ride a Summit for sure and will be looking at their gear next season when I buy a splitboard. It's going to come down to NS or Jones.
