any s14's come with no AC ?

hey guys, did any s14's come with no AC? because i just pulled my ac out and my ac core is still in there under my dash. i was looking through the chiltons repair manual and it had a picture of a little bypass plastic piece that could replace that. i would gladly rip the extra ac crap out if someone told me where i could get something like that
