I've almost fallen off a horse on many occasions. The best time was on the Giza Plateau, in the dark at night, with an english saddle not properly secured to the animal and boots too wide to stay in the stirrups...oh, and the horse decided to bolt in some random direction, perhaps in an effort to through me off and leave my brains all over some jagged rocks.

So, uh...yeah, I don't try to ride horses anymore. My fiance likes horses AND doesn't seem to fall off of them either!

Edit: I'm reasonably sure the above mentioned horse had fleas AND it smelled worse than anything I've encountered in recent years.

I used to ride alot when I was younger, but I still ride when I go home. I prefer western, as I am really into trail rides, but I can ride English too.

I ride English and I got thrown off a horse on friday and my back is still a little sore. Prob because I didn't take it easy and played in an eight hour ultimate tournament the following day. Haha.

Everyone gets thrown off at some point. No biggie.

Heh, in all the years I've been riding, no horse ever succeded in throwing me. I've always kinda expected it, but I always manage to hang on.

I loved horses since i was a tiny tot. I haven't ridden in years, i can ride english but i like western trail riding the best. The saddles are more comfy and hold you in, in case the horse goes nuts. I went to a 'Dude Ranch' in Colorado with my dad's side of the family and we even went for an overnighter once out in the woods. Good fun.

w3rD!

I have ridden horses many times. I grew up right next to one of the biggest Morgan horse farms in the US (or so they would have you believe). I got to ride them once in a while.

The only riding I do now (as seen in sig) is on something a bit smaller, but it packs about 40 horses!!!
