Any recommendations for a service shop in So Cal, southbay area? (torrance, etc)

Sorry if this is listed somewhere else on this website.....

I was looking to have my brakes serviced on my 2001 pathfinder 2wd after about 60k miles. Initially I was going to just go to the dealer, but I was thinking about the option of going to an independent local service shop. Does anybody have a suggestion for a good place in the southbay area of southern california? (torrance, redondo, gardena, etc). Would you recommend that I purchase the parts online before going? If they do more than brakes and did a good job, I probably would return to them for future service.
