Im looking for some quality intercooler pipe couplers id REALLY like to BUY some of the smic pipe couplers that came with EVERYONES clip/ motorset, haha anyways i didnt have much luck finding any of those and just got back from the local "import" shop they had couplers for 14 bucks a peice i need like 6 and its a cold day in hell when i pay 14 bucks per coupler and they seem flimsy like the crappy egay ones i got, anyways if anyone knows of some good ones out, it would be greatly appreciated or if they want to make money off their old stock smic couplers id pay 7 bucks a peice

Thanks!

I bought my 90 deg bend from http://www.atpturbo.com for my old turbo setup and it was a quality unit... I would recommend them.

Carl H-

Would you recommend using the silicon bends or trying to fit aluminum intercooler piping with couplers? I've seen silicon couplers obviously but have never seen pictures of anyone using those bends on their intercooler piping, so I was curious. Also, are there any concerns with silicon pipe flexing under high boost and temperature?

how my ic is currently plumbed i have 4 sillicone 90 bends, 2 on the intercooler on off of the turbo outlet and one on the hotside.so far ive had no problems whatsoever with this setup and it holds pressure fine.however i would make as much pipework up out of tubing as possible i used 2.5" mandrel bends because they were cheap and easy to work with.

If you need a 90 deg 2" one I had one on my old setup and don't need it anymore.

I've got a long way to go before I start thinking about a FMIC. The project is moving along smoothly, but I'm still in the process of doing the swap by myself and haven't found a whole lot of time to work on it. Actually, I've only spent ~30 manhours on it after having the clip for 3 months. I'll keep you in mind though.
