Just wondering and is the process with baking the headlights or whatever hard? I know nothing about cars by the way and figured id start learning now that i have my own car.

i wouldnt say its easy to paint the headlights, infact its the opposite. Only a few people have done it and others have attempted it and ruined their headlights. Its very difficult you have to get the perfect temp, which is still unknown and be careful not to melt and tabs or parts of the plastic and then quickly pry it open before it cools down.

I tried it with a heatgun and i can tell you that doesn't work, the only way is in the oven and its very risky and a game of luck.

Painting the exterior of the light gives you a whole different look than baking it and painting the inside.Which one is he talking about because if he's talking about overlays than painting is easier but overlays are more practical.

Me and my friend Jose painted our tails at the same time and he got in trouble for the tint so he found out that carb cleaner works to take it off. and after just wetsand the light and clear coat and it's back to new

So, have a question....when you paint the tails does the paint stay looking good for a long time. I want to paint mine but I don't want it to look bad after a few months.

Plus painting is more permanent and you have to redo the clear coat if you ever decide to take the paint off or screw it up, and you dont have to take the lights out to do the overlays, they break really easy so if you accidentally bump it on something... uh oh. Just my 0.02 cents, +1 for overlays.
