Hey guys I just bought an 08 Versa and I have a lot of plans for it. I want to get Tanabe springs soon but I'm wondering if you guys have had any problems with a lowered Versa ( i.e. bottoms out, scrapes, broken axles, etc.).

My previous car was an Integra that was really low and I ended up with a bunch of broken axles, tires that lasted 3k miles, and all sorts of other suspension related damage.

I want to make sure this won't happen again :D. Thanks.

No problems at all. I have only had some problems facing some steep driveways but no speed bumps or anything.

Gives the V a more agressive look and improves handling dramatically.

I have Megan Racing springs and they made my V look so much better!! It handles great also and I've had very little problems except one lil spot but thats just cause its a rise so i just don't go there but they make it look so so much better.

I haven't had any problems with about 5k miles on them. Make sure you get a full alignment after! You will burn through tires.

If you don't have rough roads and drive carefully (avoid driving onto curbs too high, speed bumps, railroad tracks, etc) then it's fine. Be aware that your struts and shocks may go out sooner than they normally would have and you should always get an alignment even if it looks aligned to your eye.

I have a question on the allignment issue. I had an alignment after I installed my springs and they said that it was fine except the rear which the couldn't do anything about the camber because of the type of rear end it is. Someone else mentioned to me that they should have shimmed it? it's all new to me but can you shim the rear end for the camber?

ive had tanable springs for about 20k miles on my car. im the type ofperson who likes to push things to the limit..... i go 60 miles per hour around on ramps to the interstate... the car doesn't hardly lean!!! they are great springs man! plus everywhere i go, people ask me where i got it lowered... it looks awesome with tanable springs, drives 10x better, and will hold for as long as you have them on there!!!

trust me...

Twenty thousand plus miles here and nothing wrong. And as far as the alignment goes if you feel better doing it go for it....it won't hurt but I did not do an alignment on mine and tire's look great after all the miles and the gang at the SoCalVersaClub have seen the car in person to back me up on that one.

Guys, what is the approximate drop? Also, can someone measure the clearance from the bottom of the front bumper to the ground? thanks
