At the beginning of the 1987 (first for PF) model year, the pathfinder had (from the high end)SE, XE, and E models. The SE listed at about $18.5K. The E had a four-banger,rubber floors, no back seat, and the spare was tied down on the back deck. Itdid have 4x4 (they all did back then). And the list price was just under $10K.They did exist, I saw a couple on the street right after I got my first SE (closed the deal Dec 31, 1986, at about 10 pm. They wanted the sale on the Decembertally, I wanted to take the sales tax off on my income tax.). The E disappearedreal quick when the PF got backlogged a month on deliveries.

Anyway, any PF E models still around?

It's easy to remember because it was New Year's Eve, and the last day tobuy a car and take the state sales tax off on your income tax. I'm not sure Ihave any pix of the '97, and I never had an E (my late wife really wanted asunroof, and you had to get an SE (with an option pack too, I think) to geta sunroof).
